For 10 years we have not only raised awareness but we have made a difference in so many childrens lives, and now that we have a camp we will be able to grow to help many many more, and that is INTENSE!

I am sooo excited to announce –The Golden Key Camp "INTENSE" Campaign "INTENSE" (pronounced -'IN TENTS!")

Golden Key Camp is a Michigan 501c3 nonprofit with a goal and mission and purpose of giving kids with cancer some time in nature with their families, and "leave the diagnosis at the curb" so to speak. The INTENSE campaign will gift a tent to every child in Michigan with cancer so they can have fun with the family when they arent at Golden Key Camp!

Since we are a camp for kids who are fighting cancer, we are we are so excited to encourage families to enjoy nature and time together and camping is a way to connect with each other and nature and less screen time nad create more memories and laughs So, our tent campaign properly called INTENSE! - IS GOING TO GIFT KIDS SUCH JOY when they aren’t able to come to camp.

We are reaching out to businesses and organizations, families, and friends everyone to help us by donating or doing their own fundraiser by getting sponsors and pledges to gift a tent or 2!

over the next 12 months We are going across the state of Michigan to raise awareness of childhood cancer and share the mission and purpose of Golden Key Camp with our campaign called "THE INTENSE CAMP'AIGN"!

Wer all know different people so, We are asking you to help by getting pledges and sponsor a tent (s) each tent will be given to a child in Michigan who is fighting an illness such as cancer or other life-threatening diagnosis for them to have some backyard adventures with their family.

Each tent sponsorship is $250 please set a goal at your office, work, club, organization, or within your family and friends circle to raise the funds, or donate $250 for each sponsorship, any amount you raise or donate over $250 will go to sending children who are fighting cancer or other life threatening illnesses to Golden Key Camp for the greatest adventure we can give these precious families in a devastating time at Golden Key Camp.

Help us help kids who are fighting for their lives. How many tents will you be willing to sponsor or raise funds for? Donate $250 or ask 20 of your friends, family coworkers to sponsor your campaign to donate $12.50 towards your goal for each tent!

The Mission of Golden Key Camp charity nonprofit 501c3 has been to grant wishes to Michigan children who are fighting cancer, but since we purchased a 55-acre retired youth camp in Gladwin to restore to invite hundreds of children and their families each year. We need help with the restoration, we have dozens of children already on the waiting list that are hopeful to come to Golden Key Camp. Then tents we are purchasing are $100 and for Every dollar over $100 will go to restoring the camp and then towards children and their family coming to a day or a week trip at Golden Key Camp

I am the President and Founder of Golden Key Charity, we are a Michigan nonprofit 501c3. I started the charity 10 years ago in Taylor, Mi to grant wishes for kids, our saying is "MICHIGAN WISHES FOR MICHIGAN KIDS." We have helped hundreds of kids and their families by sending them all over the state on fabulous vacations, we have donated toys, crafts, and we have gifted and celebrated Christmas throughout the year for families who their child wasn't going to be here on actual Christmas, and we have given amazing birthday parties for children, car parades, Easter bunny visits, and sadly several funerals. So many things together we have done for kids all over Michigan and most recently we have purchased a camp in Gladwin Michigan to restore it to make it a year-round retreat for children who are diagnosed with cancer even if they are physically challenged we can make their stay amazing to give these families precious time together in a very uncertain time and we desire to help more children and we need to get our message out, of our mission and ongoing purpose.

And we are now sending out TENTS and trips to camp as soon as we get a few more buildings completed!! But with our INTENSE (pronounced- "IN TENTS" CAMPAIGN) kids and their families can back yard camp when they aren’t at GOLDEN KEY CAMP!! Our slogan is Michigan Wishes for Michigan Kids! How do you spread awareness of such a devastating illness? We believe it takes a village so we are celebrating these great kids who have their childhoods stolen from them.

In 2022 we purchased our camp the old Good News Camp on M30 in Gladwin (3613 M 30 Gladwin, Mi) and we are restoring it to provide amazing camp experiences for families diagnosed with childhood cancer, day trips or overnight stays! With fully inclusive amenities cabins, lodging, cafeteria, clubhouse, a private lake, we are installing a 1-mile nature trail with dozens of handicap accessible playground features along the trail. But we have a substantial amount of repair and updating and upgrading before we can flip our open sign for families who are fighting childhood cancer. Our kitchen and dining hall up and the bathhouse / community building, cabins and 1-mile nature trail through the woods and lots of sensory play equipment and play structures for kids of any disability to enjoy! It's a big project but we know nothing is impossible, everything IS POSSIBLE! It's a dream come true for these families that just want to have fun and create more happy memories in a very uncertain and difficult time. We are honored to help these families and we can only do this through the kindness and support of people willing to help Michigan Children who are fighting for a "normal" life.

We were hoping to invite 7-year-old Bella and her family to Golden Key camp but sadly Bella went to Heaven just a few days before she got to enjoy our camp. We can't let that happen again. Every child in Michigan who has a diagnosis of cancer is invited to come breathe nature, play in fresh air and just be a kid at camp with their family never a cost for these families to visit. We can welcome 100 people or just a small family, whatever we can do to help these families we will!! But we need your support. The saying "it takes a village" has never been truer, we can bless them with a little more fun together in a very uncertain time.

Spreading awareness is important,. but Golden Key Charity is anxious to (WITH OUR POWERFUL VILLAGE OF STRENGTH) and to BE ACTIVE IN MAKING THE LIVES OF KIDS BETTER WJILE THEY FIGHT!

Our goal for 2024 and beyond is to sponsor hundreds of families and welcome them to Golden Key Camp. Any amount you raise or donate from your organization or work, church, club, office, shop etc. is so helpful to raise the sponsorship per family to help grant a child and their family a special camp experience at a place unlike anything they ever experienced!

We are restoring and updating the camp to make it fully handicap accessible sanctuary for families who are fighting the fight for their children and as we wave good bye to cancer we will raise funds to help these families to have special time together at our camp or in other ways they need support during the fight!

The worst news a parent can hear is your child is sick. How to help? To help support this campaign is to commit to a tent donation if you can donate through your business organization or personally that is wonderful,,, or if you would like to get the support of your coworkers employees or customers, or even friend and family its easy , just get sponsors to each donate $10, $20 or any amount towards your goal of $250 for Golden Key Camp! Maybe you will raise more than enough for a few tents!

More about the camp: Each family trip to Golden Key Camp is fully funded with lodging, all meals, even some spending cash for activities nearby. Other ways Golden Key Camp helps families is if a family is unable to travel due to health concerns of the child we throw an awesome birthday party, or unfortunately often we have had the horrific news we had to plan a last Christmas together with the child in hospice, other times sadly we have had to help with funeral arrangements and costs. This statewide campaign will help us to update or retreat and welcome hundreds of families a year as well as help hundreds of situations where a family needs to make special memories together if when a child is terminally ill.

What we do is gift the saddest and most difficult gifts ever, precious time together, but that is also the greatest gift. Will you please help by being a TEAM sponsor, we have made it easy to help, just seek people or businesses each willing to pledge toward your goal of $250 or a tent or maybe you decide to donate a few tents. Ask friends and family customers coworkers clients etc. to come together for YOUR team to make a gift so special its doesn't seem impossible in fact with you and yours impossible REALLY SENDS THE MESSAGE OF, I M POSSIBLE!

Thank you for your time, I am Lisa Keck Kujawa the founder and President of Golden Key Charity, I started this nonprofit in 2014 to grant Michigan Wishes for Michigan Kids who are fighting cancer, and can proudly say we have granted dozens of wishes, organized dozens of collections for toys, art & craft collections for hospitals, baskets for families in need, given to thousands of families with sick children over the short time of a few years.

Kids who have a terminal or life threatening illness often miss out on social activity, miss out on so much in life and feel like they don't belong and hard to connect with other kids. 

 

The original goal of Golden Key Charity had been to open a year round camp and park for families to visit a day or a week for a true awesome and unique camp experience & never a cost for the families we welcome! We now are so excited that we bought a 55 acre campground in Beautiful Gladwin, Mi It has bunkhouses, a lodge, a cafeteria, a lake, river frontage, we are installing a 1 mile trail, handicap accessible playgrounds and wildlife is bountiful! This property is incredible and we are so excited to welcome families who need to create special time together and lasting memories in a very difficult time.

 

Here are some ideas we have for contributing ,.. we are sure you will be glad you helped knowing the magnitude of the importance of this camp. Life is short, sadly its very short for some of these children. Lets help make their dreams come true while we can!
